Hi 👋
After 1.5 years and 72 in-depth articles exploring the world of Operations Research -from its intersections with Quantum Computing and AI to career paths and deeper questions about the field itself- I've made an important decision about the future of this newsletter.
Starting Monday, May 5th, Feasible will transition to a subscription model where long-form articles will be available to 🔒 paid subscribers 🔒, while shorter Thursday posts will remain free for everyone.
🔧 Why this change?
Each article takes me from idea to draft, editing, proofreading, and finally publishing often 3 to 5 hours of focused work, plus all the countless (and wonderful) hours researching, reading, and having conversations.
A subscription model will allow me to continue delivering the high-quality content you’ve come to expect and sustainably grow Feasible for the long term.
Some examples of those long-form popular articles:
📌 What this means for you
Long articles (Mondays): Will be available to paid subscribers only starting May 5th. Some occasional long articles will continue to be free.
Short articles (Thursdays): Will remain free, including highlights from past content and previews of upcoming topics.
Archive access: Paid subscribers will have access to all 72 previous long-form articles.
On top of that, you’ll have:
📉 A big discount (30%) on the products that I’ll launch in the future: Discounts may not apply to collaborative projects with others, but they’ll always be guaranteed for anything I create solo.
💬 Direct access to a group chat through substack: You’ll also get access to our Substack group chat, a space for real-time conversations about challenges, ideas, and tools.
One of the most rewarding parts of writing Feasible has been connecting with you directly. In fact, I’ve even introduced subscribers to each other, and seeing those connections form has been one of the highlights for me.
That’s why I want something more from Feasible.
Don’t just take it from me. Here’s what some readers have said about Feasible:
That kind of feedback is exactly what motivates me to keep building this.
📢 Building a stronger OR community
Beyond the content itself, this evolution represents an opportunity to build something more meaningful: a vibrant community of Operations Research professionals and enthusiasts.
Feasible is becoming a place where OR professionals don’t just read: they contribute, shape, and grow together.
As a paid subscriber, you'll gain:
Direct input on future topics: Suggest and vote areas of OR you'd like to see explored in depth.
Community engagement: I'm exploring options like a Circle community where subscribers can connect, share ideas, and discuss OR challenges.
Closer collaboration: More direct access to me for questions and discussions about the field we're all passionate about.
My vision is for Feasible to become not just a newsletter but a gathering place for OR-focused professionals to learn, connect, and grow together.
This will allow all of us to connect with practitioners who understand the nuances of OR challenges, discuss practical applications and real-world projects, build relationships with peers across industries and countries, and share challenges and benefit from collective wisdom on approaches.
