In January 2014, my academic journey began with a doctoral thesis in Operations Research.
I didn't quite know what to expect, but I wanted to dive deep into a subject I loved. To be honest, I didn't even know which problem I was going to work on.
What I did know was that I had a two-year contract ahead, and after that, uncertainty. So, I ventured into the non-academic workforce before completing my doctoral thesis. I wasn't thinking of becoming a professor either.
