This is the shortest email ever in this newsletter.
By far.
And I didn't even intend to post today because I didn’t find enough time during this week.
But I couldn’t miss the opportunity to say that Google Research just released a blog post of its new Linear Programming solver.
It’s not just pure research. They also implemented it inside Google OR-Tools.
I need to carefully read the paper to extract more conclusions, but it seems promising.
Here is the blog post, and thus the link to the paper:
Scaling up linear programming with PDLP
In which situations would you use such a solver?
Do you want me to analyze it and go deeper in another post?
Just let me know!
Have a nice day,
Borja.
PS: this is kind of the middle step between what I told you last week and what I wanted to tell you today (and will be for the next post).
